WWE Luchador, South American or Cruiserweight Champion?

Hopefully one day we will have enough Hispanic wrestlers or wrestlers with a strong luchador/ lucha libre background in the WWE that there could potentially be a new title belt. If you had to choose, who would it be? I say let Rey win. He’s going to retire and could easily pass the torch to a newcomer. Maybe pass it to someone like Jericho who shares a similar background.  Imagine winning a new belt, that represented your background, style and history of a certain wrestling style that has been blatantly under utilized?

1) maybe host it the day of Eddie’s 10 yr passing?

2) Involve Juventud Guerrera or others.

3) Host the event in Mexico or Latin America

Just a passing idea on how to retire Ray, give legitimacy to someone with a similar background and crown a new champion in a unique setting. http://maskalucha.com/history-of-lucha-libre.aspx

WWE needs writers….

David Kreizman, who is a head writer for WWE, is leaving WWE this week. Before joining World WrestlingEntertainment back in March, Kreizman was an award-winning soap opera TV writer.

Kreizman is the third head writer to leave company this year. This points to WWE’s Creative structure being unlike any other TV production company. New writers either find a way to adjust to WWE standards or they just leave the company.

WWE posted a job listing on June 12th for a new Head Writer, which reads:

“The Head Writer/Producer will be responsible for the creative content and scripts of all television content. He/She will manage a team of writers who will produce compelling content for broadcast.”

Responsibilities include “manage a team of home-based writers to build compelling stories that capture the audience and generate buzz.” Plus, “Consistently improve and refine storylines.”

WWE also posted another job listing on May 29th for a Raw and Smackdown lead writer to try to re-build the next layer of the Creative Team.

Would Undertaker retire as the “American Bad Ass” character….?

He really should. WWE should consider catering to his present look with a shaved head. He could go in a match as the traditional Undertaker look, fighting in a Battle Royal, or 6- man tag w/  Jack Swagger or Antonio Cesaro. Someone promoting”American” patriotism. They bring a flag down to the ring. Someone like Hunico or another wrestler that wears a “head band,” would need to be involved too.

At the end, Undertaker would tombstone Hunico. The crowd roars, as he takes off his head band and puts it on himself. He points to the American flag that Swagger left and holds it up in the air. The crowd gets louder.

1) maybe WWE revives “Judgement Day”…the debut of the American bad ass character

2) Have Vince, Triple H, or the Rock bring down his motorcycle for one last ride around the ring.

3) His music changes back to the Kid Rock song…we all know.

Of course, this wouldn’t happen. His original character seems to resonate most with the crowd. Let’s say Marc Calloway has creative control in his contract… would he? should he?

Never say Never vs would never happen? #Future #Interesting

#WWE meets the #Apprentice

So, it’s not the most original idea. It has already been done by Donald Trump, but since WWE has had long lasting relationship with NBC, I don’t see why not. Maybe Donald and Vince could both team or up, or Vince could fly solo. Obviously, Vince could use Stephanie, Paul or other executives that could influence, or share insight on Vince’s decision before firing someone off a certain project.

Maybe, you have 2 Teams. One Team is the existing WWE Creative Team and the other is a bunch of “know it all” fans on the other. Maybe you mix the teams up, so both teams have a professional team leader with behindt he scenes experience.. Maybe Pat Patterson?

Maybe Vince, Triple H or Stephanie assign creative tasks, like establish a Pay Per View “theme,” or design a new character, a new character upgrade/ change or write an original story line/ fued. The replacement for the spinner belt would have been great. Mark Cuban asked for help for is team uniforms. http://blogmaverick.com/2013/05/13/help-the-mavs-design-our-next-uniform/

Maybe, the current wrestler just isn’t resonating with the crowd…so maybe the team, needs to design a costume, work with an audio engineer on entrance music, write a promo.

Maybe between the SummerSlams and the recent Wrestlemanias, the Executives are looking to shy away from palm trees or sunny beaches. Instead, you could design a set based on something unique, like  the “main event participants,” the location of the event, or a storyline.  Or, a really cool, radical approach is to “revive” an old WCW show.

At the end of the task, obviously they present the idea, to Vince, Stephanie and Triple H. Maybe a few others. What might make this TV show stand out, is who ever the winners are, they could actually showcase an idea they have been thinking about long term. Of course, the popular ones are going to be:

1) main event booking

2) turning heel/ face

3) reviving an old favorite wrestler or pushing new ones

99% of the ideas will get trashed but, what’s cool is you pitch to WWE in Stamford, CT. Social Media users would be all over this…and finally we get to see how decisions are made.

A few concerns would be…

1) airing these shows simultaneously with RAW episodes or pay per views. Maybe,  this is a bad idea itself. Maybe these types of shows would be a giveaway to the current product. And WWE would never consider it.

2) If  WWE found a way to air these types of shows a few months or maybe even a year behind…how would that effect real time tweets?

Please…all types of criticism and comments are welcome.
